Service Description

Arabic Oriental × Flamenco Fusion Workshop This workshop will explore the connection between Oriental Dance and Flamenco, focusing on the basic elements of Flamenco that can be incorporated into an Arabic dance style. We will work on basic Flamenco posture, as well as fundamental arm and hand movements. We will also explore different poses, cortes and palmas, with an emphasis on learning to recognize and understand the 4/4 rhythm, particularly through Rumbas and Tangos. Another part of the workshop will focus on skirt technique. We will learn basic ways of handling and moving the skirt, and how to use it as an extension of the body and as part of the dance expression. The aim is to understand the main characteristics of Flamenco technique and musicality and combine them with the movement quality, musicality and expression of Oriental Dance, creating an Arabic-Flamenco fusion.
